The shooting happened on the 100 block of Avenue H around 12:13 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, according to Columbia police. An unidentified assailant shot the victim multiple times, leaving them with serious injuries.
Four men—Mason Misel, Stouudamire Campbell, Mason McClair, and Shawn Lindbeck—rushed to the victim’s aid within a minute of the shooting, police said. The group, who were working at a nearby home for their employer, MiselBerger Inc., rendered life-saving assistance.
Police commended their swift action and selflessness, calling it a "testament" to their character.
No suspect information has been released.
